Today, we celebrated achieving our Amber Flag. We were fortunate enough to have John Burke of Elevate to raise our flag. The children spoke about the different steps we took to achieve our three goals of the project which were:
- We will hold a mental health awareness day and fundraiser for Pieta House.
- We will promote positive health and wellbeing for all.
- We will prevent mental health problems through increasing awareness.
John then spoke to us about the importance of the message of the Amber Flag to not only the members of our school but the entire community. He then raised the flag which is now proudly flying outside our school.
We thank John for his attendance and the members of our community who joined us to celebrate.
