The Curious Minds Programme is part of Science Foundation Ireland’s Education and Public Engagement Programme, which aims to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among students, teachers and members of the public.

In 2019 and 2021, we achieved the DPSM plaque of STEM excellence.  This involved all classes taking part in investigations, using ICT and maths, speaker visits and presenting science projects.  Cranny National School was one of only thirty schools in the country to receive this award.

In 2023, we were awarded the Curious Minds Gold Award for our work in STEM education. Well done to all the children and staff for their involvement in achieving this award.

For more information see www.sfi.ie.  Check out our school blog for samples of our work.
